After downloading the ColourLab AI Pro installer, double-click the file to begin the installation process. 2. Accept the License Agreement
Review and accept the license agreement to proceed.
3. Choose Installation Options
On the next screen, you will be prompted to select which components to install. Below is an explanation of each option:
1. Colourlab Ai Standalone
This option installs the ColourLab AI Pro desktop application, which includes the neural engine. It’s important to install this on the computer where the ColourLab AI server will run, as this is where the actual color matching will take place.
Note: Only install this on the machine dedicated to running the server
2. ColourLab AI OFX Plugin
This installs the plugin that connects DaVinci Resolve with ColourLab AI Pro. Use this option on computers where you will be running DaVinci Resolve and want to enable color matching via the plugin.
Note: You can install this plugin on as many machines as you like
3. Look Designer
This optional installation gives you access to the Look Designer Plugin. Look Designer enables you to create and apply unique looks to your projects.
4. GrainLab
This is another plugin for texture creation. It can be installed if you don’t already have GrainLab. If GrainLab is already installed on your system, the installer will notify you that it’s not necessary to reinstall.
5. ColourLab AI Server
This installs the ColourLab AI Server, which is essential for running the neural engine. Ensure this is installed on the machine that will handle the matching operations.
6. Adobe Premiere Link Select this if you want to link ColourLab AI Pro to Adobe Premiere. This option is only necessary if you are using Premiere and wish to integrate ColourLab AI into your workflow.
7. Final Cut Pro Link
Similar to the Premiere link, select this option if you want to link ColourLab AI Pro with Final Cut Pro for a seamless workflow. Final Steps Once you’ve selected the components you want to install, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
NOTE: You will have to RESTART your computer upon installation completion.

Connecting Plugin to Server
The ColourLab AI Plugin does not require a license. Instead, it needs to connect to the ColourLab AI Server, and this connection only needs to be configured once. Once set up, the plugin will automatically reconnect to the server each time you use it.
Steps to Connect the Plugin to the Server:
1. Locate the Server Settings
• Open the plugin and find the Server Settings tab at the top of the plugin window.
2. Enter the Server IP Address
• In the field provided below the server settings, you’ll need to enter the IP address of the server.
• Local IP (Same Computer): If you have installed the server on the same computer you are working on, the plugin will automatically use the local IP address (the default address of your own computer). In this case, you do not need to change anything. Simply press Connect.
• Remote IP (Different Computer): If the server is installed on another computer, you will need to find the IP address of that server. Enter the remote server’s IP address in the field and press Connect.
3. Confirm Connection
• Once the plugin has successfully connected to the server, you’ll see a confirmation message similar to the one shown in the image above. At this point, the plugin is ready to be used with ColourLab AI Pro.
Steps to Activate Look Designer and Grainlab:
1. Apply Look Designer or Grainlab to a node
• Scroll to the bottom and find the License button. A popup window will open
• Click on License Server
• Click on Connect and your Look Designer and Grainlab will be active
